H.E. Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh Inaugurates National Ambulance’s New Headquarters in Abu Dhabi and Receives Briefing on EMS Readiness and Future Development Plans

Abu Dhabi, 15 July 2026: H.E. Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Ambulance and Civil Defence, inaugurated National Ambulance’s new headquarters in Abu Dhabi during an official visit accompanied by a delegation from the Authority. He was received by Dr. Eng. Mohammed Salem Haboush, Chief Executive Officer of National Ambulance, along with senior officials, sector directors and department heads.

During the visit, H.E. toured the Ambulance Communication Centre (ACC), the Education and Training Centre, and the medical supply warehouse, including National Ambulance’s strategic medical stockpile.

H.E. also viewed the modern ambulance fleet and first responder vehicles equipped with the latest technologies and monitoring systems. He was briefed on National Ambulance’s key development initiatives, including the integration of artificial intelligence to support emergency medical operations and further enhance the efficiency and quality of services.

H.E. Al Sayegh emphasised the importance of continuously advancingb the emergency medical services system in line with international best practices to strengthen operational readiness, improve emergency response times, and further enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.

The visit also included a presentation on National Ambulance’s key achievements and operational statistics for the first half of 2026. During this period, the Ambulance Communication Centre received 168,659 calls, EMS teams responded to 73,624 emergency cases, and provided pre-hospital emergency medical care to 58,781 patients.

The visit also marked the celebration of National Ambulance’s successful renewal of its Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation for a further three years, achieving the organisation’s fifth consecutive accreditation. The milestone reflects National Ambulance’s continued commitment to delivering pre-hospital emergency medical services in accordance with the highest international quality standards.

At the conclusion of the visit, H.E. commended the dedication of National Ambulance’s operational and administrative teams and praised the organisation’s achievements, which reflect its high level of operational readiness and performance. He reaffirmed the importance of continuing to drive innovation and development to further enhance the services provided to the community.
