National Ambulance Launches “Safe Summer.. Be Prepared” Initiative as Part of Comprehensive National Guard Safety Campaign

July 4, 2024: National Ambulance launched its "Safe Summer.. Be Prepared" initiative as part of a wider campaign initiated by the National Guard Command, aimed at enhancing community awareness of safety and security practices. The National Ambulance initiative highlights the importance of first aid and preventive measures in managing summer-related emergencies and common injuries.

Through a series of engaging educational videos and informational posts on social media platforms shared by the National Guard, National Ambulance, and other media outlets, the initiative aims to equip the public with basic and practical guidance for identifying and dealing with common summertime emergencies until specialized ambulance teams arrive on the scene. The educational content will cover essential topics such as heat exhaustion and heatstroke, drowning, loss of consciousness, water sports-related fractures, bleeding, and jellyfish stings.

The recent comprehensive campaign led by the National Guard Command aims to enhance community awareness of security and safety and promote a culture focused on safety and prevention. The campaign educates the public on proactive and preventive measures, federal laws, decisions, and regulations in the United Arab Emirates, which are implemented by the National Guard in collaboration with its partners to safeguard national assets. This three-phase campaign also seeks to educate and raise awareness about necessary precautionary measures to be taken during emergencies, ultimately minimizing risks and preserving public safety.
