NATIONAL AMBULANCE ON HAND FOR TENTH CONSECUTIVE ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX WEEKEND

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 23 November 2023: With over one hundred thousand fans expected to visit Yas Marina Circuit and Etihad Park across this year’s milestone 15th edition of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the staff from National Ambulance in collaboration with Ethara and Emirates Motorsport Organisation (EMSO) are gearing up for its historic tenth consecutive year of supporting the region’s biggest event weekend.  

Providing its vigilant, extensive emergency medical coverage and services to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2014, National Ambulance will be returning to support the F1 season finale, keeping the 3,000 race participants and staff on-site at Yas Marina Circuit safe across the weekend.

For the milestone event, National Ambulance will be deploying a team of over 60 multidisciplinary professionals utilising 14 emergency vehicles to provide comprehensive medical coverage to the F1 teams and patrons within the circuit.  

In addition, extra resources provided by National Guard’s National Search and Rescue Center for helicopter emergency medical service unit, alongside EMSO, will ensure medical support is available at all times for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

On the tenth anniversary of National Ambulance’s involvement in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Hesham Al Jenaibi, General Manager of Yas Marina Circuit and Etihad Park, said: “This year’s milestone edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend is set to be the biggest to date, and our work over the past ten years has seen our event continue to grow from strength to strength.

Besides providing emergency medical cover for the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX this weekend, National Ambulance provides all-year-round emergency medical services at Yas Marina Circuit. The organisation supports the range of activities that take place at the circuit, including entertainment, motorsport and regular community health and fitness initiatives.
